I've just acquired some lovely vintage Cuban Movie posters. They are large and colorful. They are somewhat witty. I can't wait to frame them and put them on my walls. My favorite one is "Vampiros en la Habana" (Juan Padron, 1986). Look at that Cuban vampire. He's relaxed. He's even a little sleepy. He's happy. He's smoking a Cuban cigar. Not a care in the world. Oh, to be a vampire in Havana!

He probably hasn't yet noticed the large gash across his face...
So THAT's what happened to Blacula...
He became Bluecula?
I think the gash is actually his nose. But a strange one it is, indeed.
I looked up the film on imdb. It's an animated comedy about all the vampires of the world flocking to Cuba where a potion has been created by a mad scientist -- Wolfgan Amadeus von Dracula -- that permits them to go about in the sunlight. The American vampires fight the Eastern European vampires for the elixer while the Cuban vampires enjoy life smoking cigars and playing jazz.
Allegory of the cold war? Or simply the triumph of jazz and cigars over the quest for world domination? You be the judge.
I actually like the "nose!" I collect a lot of foreign movie posters, the uniqueness draws me to them!
